AUKUS has changed the Australian defence industry landscape.
While the scale of the Pillar I nuclear-powered submarines dominates discussion, Pillar II will forge new industrial ties, co-producing and co-delivering next-generation warfighting capabilities across eight advanced technology areas. It presents a significant opportunity for Australian companies but is not without challenges.
The panel will analyse AUKUS Pillar II with a Land Focus; where are we now, what are the specific opportunities for Australian industry and what needs to occur to capitalise on them.
