12thLevel will present its scientific method to analyse and transform data to support decision-making as part of this year's AusTsec conference.

LAND FORCES 2022 will host the the inaugural Australian Training, Simulation and Education Conference (AusTsec) with presentations over two days from industry and the Australian Army discussing the technology, processes and vision for the future of skilling the defence workforce in a distributed and operational environment.

Joshua Keene, Artificial Intelligence Researcher and Dr Carlos Kuhn, Head of Science & Tech Division for 12thLevel will present their work in developing the Training Schedule Optimisation Process (TSOP), a new capability to optimally schedule training activities at a service level to maximise individual and collective training delivery.

TSOP considers the unique training, leave, and posting requirements of all members within in a cohort to automatically produce a training schedule that maximises collective proficiency.

12thLevel is an SME with expertise in Defence Capability Management and specialises in research, design and analytics to solve complex problems.

Mr Keene's current research at 12thLevel focuses on merging artificial intelligence techniques from operations research, classical optimisation, quantum optimisation, and machine learning to solve complex, real-world problems.

Dr Kuhn uses his mathematical and managerial skills to lead a team of researchers to solve real-world problems. in the field of Operational Research and Artificial Intelligence.
