LAND FORCES 2024 SET TO BREAK RECORDS

The Land Forces International Land Defence Exposition is set to fill the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre with nearly one thousand exhibitors next week, creating the largest defence industry event ever held in Australia.

The Australian Army, Defence, government and academia will join 995 exhibiting organisations from 31 countries, bringing together the community that will acquire, deliver and field future land defence capability for Australia and international partners.

They will engage with a three-day conference program featuring the Chief of Army Symposium, industry briefings, technical symposia and updates on future programs and key technologies.

Land Forces 2024 will present:

  • 995 Exhibiting organisations from 31 nations
  • 77 conferences, presentations and symposia
  • More than 130 official defence, government and industry delegations from 30 nations
  • 16 Chiefs or Counterparts and 11 Representatives.
  • Presentation of $120,000 in Innovation Awards

Land Forces 2024 will feature an industry exhibition nearly a third larger than the 2022 Land Forces event, and two and a half times larger than the first Land Forces in 2014.

As a key supporter of Land Forces, the Australian Army will host its Chief of Army Symposium, Army Innovation Day and Quantum Technology Challenge as part of Land Forces 2024, with the Chief of Army Symposium open to all attendees for the first time.

Justin Giddings, CEO of Land Forces organiser AMDA Foundation, said the continued growth of the event gave AMDA Foundation confidence that Land Forces is an effective platform for engagement on land defence issues in the national interest, and a showcase for the Australian defence industry.

“We are honoured that Australian Chief of Army, Lieutenant General Simon Stuart, will host his Chief of Army Symposium, Army Innovation Day and Quantum Technology Challenge in conjunction with Land Forces 2024,” he said.

“We are honoured too that the wider land defence industry and community have shown such strong support. We trust that everyone at Land Forces will find their time spent was both productive and enjoyable.”
