Sunshine Coast generator manufacturing business, Eniquest has been awarded a contract to deliver 1,350 rapid deployable field power generator systems over the next four years under Land8140 Tranche 1 acquisition program for the Australian Defence Force (ADF), with the first batch scheduled for delivery January 2023.

The contract is worth $47.4 million and will create 25 to 30 new direct full-time jobs on the Sunshine Coast with Eniquest also planning to provide subcontract work to other Queensland manufacturers of components, worth more than $12 million.

Eniquest has also signed a contract with options for further buys which is expected to grow the overall contract value to well over $50M including $5 million for construction of the Eniquest facility expansion at Bells Creek.

In a statement from Eniquest, it said electrical power is key for our modern-day defence forces and its survival relies on highly reliable and easily deployable power. It sees it as crucial to have Australian Sovereign Capability that can produce quality electrical power that will enhance and ensure the use of sophisticated electronic equipment on the battlefield.

Eniquest is an established manufacturer of the ADF’s field power distribution systems. It provides onboard electrical power and air-conditioning for the Bushmaster protected mobility vehicles for Australia, New Zealand, and Jamacia.
