Delivering on our collective commitment just over a
year ago to streamline defence trade, AUKUS partners have implemented
generational legislative reforms that provide reciprocal national exemptions
from our respective export control frameworks. From 1 September 2024, industry,
the higher education and research sectors across Australia, the UK and US are
no longer required to seek a licence to export, re-export or transfer most
controlled goods, technologies and services to, or within, AUKUS nations. Representatives
from the Australian, UK and US governments will provide an overview of each of
the national exemptions, provide practical examples of how the licence free
environment works, and answer questions from the audience.
Hosted by US Department of Defense, and Australian Department of Defence
